A Full Container Load (FCL) gives one shipper the whole container and suits volumes close to or above a 20-foot box. Less than Container Load (LCL) shares a container between shippers and is charged by volume (CBM) or weight, which suits smaller or frequent shipments.

Frequently asked questions
How is ocean freight volume (CBM) calculated?
CBM = length × width × height (cm) × pieces ÷ 1,000,000. Two pallets of 120 × 100 × 80 cm come to 1.92 CBM. Our online calculator does this instantly.
When is LCL the better choice?
When your cargo is well below a full container or ships in frequent small lots. Once volume approaches a 20-foot container, FCL usually costs less per unit and avoids mixing with other cargo.
Can Loxson help with ECFA certificates of origin?
Yes. We support ECFA certificates of origin together with ocean customs clearance, so eligible goods can claim preferential tariffs.
